Job Description
The Culinary Intern will play a vital role by tracking trends, working in the kitchen, testing recipes
& assisting our Jr. Sous Chef & owner. This is an opportunity to see a company built from the ground up
& will be an exciting and fast-paced environment where initiative & enthusiasm is necessary!
You will contribute to recipe development, test and experiment with new ideas & concepts, manage
weekly grocery process for recipe development & chef interviews, prepare kitchen for chef
interviews, take notes during and after chef interviews, research food trends and competitor
culinary offerings, and develop & manage chef & recipe database.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the culinary industry, contagiously positive &
has a friendly attitude, efficient & has a strong work ethic, inquisitive & understands that you have
to ask questions in order to learn, driven by fresh perspectives & entrepreneurial spirit, able to
think outside the box & solve problems, an expert communicator who can adapt accordingly,
detail-oriented & extremely organized, and a self-starter who can take direction but work
independently.
You should have prior experience in a professional kitchen, knowledge of the service & product
offering, and access to your own laptop.
You should be available Monday through Wednesday.
QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate and/ or graduate program at a college or
university - All food industry majors welcomed; Eligible candidates must be graduating in
or after August 2021.

Strong organizational and time management skills are required.

Must work well in both team and individualized tasks.

Leadership skills, inclusive of supervisory responsibilities, team lead in a club/organization,
and/or project management.

The ability to communicate in an appropriate, clear, and concise manner with customers,
clients, employees, and leadership.

The ability to manage through change and ambiguity in a fast pace environment.

Budget responsibilities or inventory management experience a plus.

Ability to work flexible hours, which may include nights, weekends, or holidays according to
business needs.

Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization
sponsorship by Aramark for this position now or in the future
